On Sunday 22nd December Bedford hosted an indoor pole vault competition. We had athletes from Biggleswade, Hunts AC, Dacorum & Tring, as well as former BCAC member Mark Burgman (now living in Hawaii) and his daughter Jessie Layman from Melbourne competing. 

There were prizes for best height (related to 2024 SB). Lois Fordham won with a 1cm PB and new U15 girls club record, ranking her equal 10th in the UK for U15. Jemma was 2nd - 7cm down, Chloe was 3rd with 10cm down and Oskar was 4th with 12cm down.

 

Frankie was DJ, the competitors all requested different songs to be played when they jumped - really helped with the atmosphere and motivation!
