The European Masters Athletics Championships are currently taking place in Madeira with a number of Bedford & County athletes competing to bring home medals. Early results below:
Darren Kerr competed in the M55 Hammer on Friday, placing 5th with a new club record of 48.85m. He also competed in the M55 Weight on Thursday, placing 6th.
Younger brother Glen Kerr was also competing on Friday in the M50 Hammer, and came 3rd with a final throw of 56.76m - moving up from 6th to 3rd place on that last throw.
Tennyson James has qualified for the Final of the M65 400m with his fastest outdoor time of the year.
Bedford 2nd Claim athlete Roy Chambers came 4th in the M35 Decathlon with 5052 points.
