Please note that this year's Extraordinary General Meeting has been pushed back by one week, and will now be held at 7.45 pm on 4th October 2022 in the Clubhouse at Bedford International Athletics Stadium. Bedford and County AC are seeking a health and safety coordinator to oversee health and safety tasks at the club.
What does the health and safety coordinator do? Generally, the health and safety coordinator ensures members are accessing club activity safely, protecting them from harm, incidents, and accidents.

Congratulations to Simon Coombes, who set two M50 Club records during last weekend's EMAC final. These were for 800m (2:11.76) and 1500m (4:24.00).
Congratulations to Alan Turnbull, who set a club M55 record of 2hrs 10mins 21 secs for 20 miles at the Hillingdon 20 on Saturday 4th September. This is Alan's sixth club record of 2022 (so far!).

Raph Boujou, who recently set a club 100m record of 10.27 seconds, starred at the European championships, anchoring home the Dutch team which finished 4th in the 4 x 100 metres relay, which was won by Great Britain. You can watch the race on YouTube. The Netherlands are in lane 3, in orange vests:

Congratulations to everybody involved in our National Athletics League team, who won the Championship Plate final on home soil today. The team scored 490.5 points to second-placed Peterborough and Nene Valley's 483. Full report to follow.
Congratulations to Lyla Danobrega, who set a new club Under 17 and Senior Women's record of 5:22.8 for the 1500m Steeplechase in the Southern Athletics League match at Thurrock on Saturday.
The club is currently short of officials, who are vital for our league matches, including the YDL and EYAL. If you are a parent, or a grandparent, and you are taking your child to a match anyway, please consider officiating. There are spaces in online courses available during August.
