Congratulations to Tilly W who represented Cambridgeshire in the IG Triple Jump, placing 12th with a jump of 10.34m.
Congratulations to Jack Goodwin (Senior Men) and Noah Campion (U20 Men) who have been selected to represent England in the Cardiff home countries 5k road race on the August 24th.
Congratulations to Emily Elphick who set a new U13 Girls club record of 33.90m in the Javelin at the National Prep Schools Championships in Birmingham on 3rd July.
Two golds and a set of relay silvers represented a fair return for a largely inexperienced Bedfordshire team at the English Schools Championships in Birmingham last weekend.
Under cloudy skies and windy conditions Thaila-Jade Mason(Van Dyke) followed up last year’s silver medal with an outstanding performance to dominate the Inter Girls Long Jump. Last to jump in the field of 17, she nailed her first jump of 5.92m to kill the competition stone dead. Her dominance was such that four of Thaila’s jumps were in excess of 5.66m the mark of the second placed athlete. Thaila’s reward is selection to represent England in the School’s international in Carmarthen next Saturday.
Jasmine Wilkins ran 24.18 sec to break the 34 year old club record in the 200m at the NAL match at Bedford on Sunday 7th July.
This was her first 200m of the season, so there is plenty of room for even faster performances as her season gets going. She has a chance to go under the 24 sec mark in the England U20 / Senior Track and field Champs to be held in Birmingham July 19th - 21st.
Congratulations and good luck Jasmine!
Jasmine Wilkins has been breaking records again, running 11.36 secs (in a legal wind speed of 1.8) in a 100m race at Stratford Speed meet on Tuesday 2nd July.
This time qualifies her for the World Junior Champs in Lima Peru and is also a new club record.
She is in a rich vein of form at the moment and hopefully will turn out for the club in the NAL this weekend.
The PV squad were pleased to see that we still hold 6 of the 8 records from the Eastern AA Championships.
All entries from the squad won a medal on Saturday.

In the 100m Jasmine finished 2nd in her race with a time of 11.60 secs.
Congratulations to Lois Fordham who set a new U15 Pole Vault club record of 2.80m at the Bedfordshire County Schools Championships in Bedford on 12th June.
