Congratulations to all the Bedford & County athletes who ran in the Tokyo Marathon yesterday.
Adam Harris, achieved the 6 star Abbot World Marathon Majors award yesterday, by completing the Tokyo Marathon in a chip time of 2hrs 56mins 46sec (gun time 2hrs 57mins 11sec). He has achieved the 6 Star award by running the required marathons in: Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York.
Paula Radcliffe also ran the Tokyo marathon yesterday in a W50 club record chip time of 2hrs 57min 22sec (gun time 2hrs 57mins 26sec) and is also reportedly aiming to run all 6 Star Major marathons too, with only the Boston marathon to go this year.
Bedford & County Athlete, Jake Barraclough was the first GB athlete home in a chip time 2hrs 14min 52sec (gun time 2hrs 14min 55sec) whilst he is completing a course to learn Japanese in Japan, and has his own YouTube channel RanToJapan.
