Bedford athletes excelled at the England Age Group Championships with five athletes sharing three medals, three club indoor records and thee lifetime bests. 

In the U15 Boys 1500m Ethan Gibbs set a lifetime best and club indoor record of 4m 13.50 in winning the gold medal and national title. In the same age group Oskar Eastwood raised his personal best twice to clear 3.35M to take the bronze medal in the pole vault. Zaphaniah Bryan completed the medal-winning trio with a clearance of 1.97m to claim the bronze in the U20 Men’s High Jump.

Back on the Pole Vault runway, Lois Fordham set a club indoor record with 3.15m for 5th place in the U17 Women’s final; whilst on the track Sophia Wing reduced her 300m personal best in setting a club U15 indoor record of 43.82 sec. for 5th place in her heat.
