It was the Combined Eastern Masters and Southern Counties Masters Championships at Lee Valley last Saturday (14th February).
10 First Claim and 3 Second Claim athletes from Bedford & County AC were competing and collected an impressive 14 gold medals and 4 silver medals between them.
Competing in the EMAC Championships were:
Scott Johnson M35 High Jump - Gold - his first outing in the Masters' category
Jemma Eastwood W45 Pole Vault - Gold - First time over 3.00m since 2024
Ellie Garraway W50 400m - Gold, 800m - Gold - winning the 400m despite a spectacular fall on the notorious final bend
Bob Kingman M50 Pole Vault - Gold
Glenn Kerr M50 Shot - Silver
Peter Benedickter M55 400m - Gold
Darren Kerr M55 Shot - Gold
Richard Phelan M60 Pole Vault - Gold, M60 Triple Jump - Gold, M60 High Jump - Silver, M60 Long Jump - Silver
Tenny James M65 60m Hurdles - Gold, M65 400m - Gold
