Bedford and County sprinter, Raphael Bouju, who is qualified to run for Holland, is currently spending three weeks training in Papendal, in the Netherlands with the Dutch national squad.
On Saturday 18th July he took part in an Open Sprint Meeting. The good news was that he ran 10.35 (0.1w), which would have been a personal best, but the bad news was that he had a false start. He was allowed to run but his time will not count for official records. In an earlier race he ran 10.51(0.0w), which broke his previous PB of 10.58 set last year. In September Raph will move to the Netherlands to study and train.
