The club’s young athletes travelled to Cambridge for the last EYAL match of the season on Sunday 12th September. In the sunshine they finished a brilliant 3rd (348 pts) behind Cambridge and Coleridge (373 pts) and winners Bedfordshire Lions (394).
The girls produced 27 PBs and the boys 14. Girls’ performance of the day must be the U17 4 x 100m squad of Gracie Wall, Etienne Maughan, Kaylen Charles & Jasmine Wilkins who posted a time of 50.00 to take them to provisionally 8th in the national rankings and the quickest time since 2007. Boys’ performance of the day was Cameron Barnes for an outstanding 1500m in 4.34.2 just 0.6 seconds ahead of 2nd .

After a non-existent season last year and a difficult start to this year the young athletes of the club have done the club proud. Well done all!
