Congratulations to Glen Kerr and Dave Folgate, who have set new masters club records.  Glen broke the M45 Hammer record with a throw of 48.31m at Hull on 15th October.  Dave's records date from 2021, but have just been recognised - 1.25m for the M70 High Jump, and 19.62m for the M70 Javelin.

Wheelchair Racing Manager, Howard Darbon, and the club's leading wheelchair racer, Varun Bandi,  appeared on BBC 3 Counties Radio  on Sunday 9th October.  Varun and Howard were interviewed presenter, Farzana Chaudry, and covered topics including Varun's successes, how he got into wheelchair racing and his aspirations, while Howard talked about the sport, the costs of it and how people could get in touch.

The first round of this season's Chiltern League took place at Shotover Hill, Oxford on Saturday 15th October.  There was a win for Harry Brodie in the Senior Men's race, with Ben Davies third.  Lyla Danobrega finished 3rd in the Under 17 women's race, Imogen Tregenza finished 2nd in the Under 20 Women's race, and Harry Scott finished 3rd in the Under 15 Boy's race.

The Senior Men's team finished 3rd, as did the Veteran Men's team.  The Under 15 Boys' team finished second, and the Under 15 Girls' team finished 3rd.

Bedford & County AC's Senior men were in fine form at the English National 6 Stage Road Relay Championship at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Sat 8th  October. With the club having qualified 2 teams for the 6 x 5.9k relay hopes were high that both teams would be finish well up the field, with the A team possibly making the podium.

Following a good showing at the recent Aldershot Road Relays, Bedford and County AC junior boys were in action again at the National Road Relays at Sutton Park.  The U13 Boys started the day with Finley Bent (14:09) posting a quick time on the first leg handing over to Harry Henderson (18:32), admirably stepping in as a late substitute.  The experienced Oliver Coombes (15:48) brought the team home in 39^th place.
